Protool Plastics Group | Brexit Supply Statement for Customers

28th January 2019

BREXIT STATEMENT TO CUSTOMERS

To all clients,

As the date of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU is rapidly approaching I wanted to update and reassure you on our current position.

We do employ EU citizens at both Fareham and Manchester sites but do not expect any changes to their employment situation. At this stage the UK government are expected to honour all rights of EU nationals working in the UK and after discussions with relevant staff are not expecting any disruption.

We view the main risk to supply being the delivery of polymer from the EU during the transition period following the withdrawal date of the 29th March 2019.

To overcome issues we suggest that you place orders for your requirements up to the end of May 2019, ideally before the end of January 2019.

This will allow us to forward order polymer and any associated bought out items and ensure it is in the UK ready for production to meet your delivery dates.

We are not suggesting early delivery and increased stock holding of finished goods for UK based customers, just ordering your requirement earlier than usual for delivery on the original required date.

For EU and USA customers we suggest allowing an extra 3 weeks for deliveries due immediately after the 29th March 2019.

Yours Faithfully,

Michael Hadfield.

Group Managing Director.
